Please join the Los Angeles Local Ethnic Employment Opportunities Committee and the NextGen Performers subcommittee on Aug. 28 for Call to Create Part 2: Mobile Filmmaking Workshop.
Last fall, the first part of Call to Create focused on diversity and introduced you to inspiring filmmakers, web series creators, influencers and distribution platforms. Now, for Call to Create Part 2, take control of your own creativity and learn how to turn your phone into a low-cost but high-quality production device. Film Industry non-profit, We Make Movies (WMM) and Apple’s Product-Marketing Division join forces to give you a hands-on overview of the gear you will need, best shooting practices and a post-production tutorial of FinalCutPro X. The event will be followed by a reception that provides an opportunity to network with union members who can be potential collaborators or future mobile filmmaking cast and crew members. This session is open to all SAG-AFTRA members; attendance at the first Call to Create is not necessary to attend Part 2. We look forward to seeing you on Aug. 28. Light refreshments will be provided at the mixer.
This workshop is only open to paid-up SAG-AFTRA members in good standing — no guests are allowed. Parents/guardians of performers under 18 years old are welcome. SAG-AFTRA members, please bring your membership card (paid through Oct. 31, 2018) for admittance. This workshop is not intended to imply an endorsement of any individual or company by SAG-AFTRA.
